What are services like at St Andrew's?

St Andrew's is Church of England and part of the worldwide Anglican Church. It is in the Catholic tradition, and the main service most weeks is Sung Mass at 10.00 a.m.

We use incense, bells & candles during worship and the priest wears vestments. We have a number of statues in Church. Our worship, although formal, is very relaxed. We have a robed choir and more informal music also with use of organ, piano, recorders & trumpets.

Children are made very welcome and participate fully in the life of the Church. There is also a daily Mass (except Monday), and communion can be taken to people who are ill or housebound.

St Andrew's has welcomed the arrival of women priests who have sometimes visited to preside at our services.
